Badan Perfilman Indonesia (BPI) dan Menparekraf menekankan upaya pengembangan ekosistem perfilman tanah air masih sangat perlu dilakukan. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan melakukan penguatan ekosistem film yang bisa dirintis melalui komunitas. Komunitas film menjadi alternatif sekaligus sebagai ruang edukasi nonformal bagi masyarakat. Menjemput peluang tersebut, kami mendirikan Ruang Film & Experimental sebagai tempat untuk belajar film. Diksi belajar menjadi sebuah jendela bagi masyarakat yang tertarik dengan dunia film itu sendiri. Mulai dari bagaimana membaca film hingga bagaimana distribusi sebuah film. Namun, kami kira, belajar disini tidak terlepas dari isu film dalam negeri saja. Kedepannya, Ruang Film & Experimental akan menjadi ruang diskusi yang majemuk dan tidak terbatas dari satu style film saja.

The Indonesian Film Board (BPI) and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy have stressed the necessity of actively pursuing the development of the country’s film ecosystem. An effective approach involves enhancing the film environment, which can be launched by fostering communities. The film community serves as both an alternative and informal educational place for its members. Seizing this opportunity, we developed the Ruang Film & Experimental as a dedicated space for the study of cinema. Acquiring a strong command of diction provides individuals with a valuable insight into the realm of filmmaking. From understanding film analysis to implementing film distribution strategies. Nevertheless, we believe that learning here is not exclusively limited to domestic cinema matters. In the future, the Ruang Film & Experimental will serve as a platform for inclusive and multifaceted debates, encompassing a wide range of cinematic styles.
